The drum fishing has been red hot.  Experienced some of the best drum fishing on the fly this past week.  Spin, fly, live bait it didn't seem to matter, these fish are chewing.  The drum were all 10 to 15 pounds which made for some wild fishing.  Big schools of fish 150 to 500 fish in the schools.

The spanish and alberts having been working the bait pretty hard in and around the inlets.  The albacore can be found anywhere off the beach 10 miles. Endless schools of fish working the surface.  But a few acres of feeding fish made their way towards the beach later in the week.  Today an acre of fish made their way into the port,  smashing the bait.   Yes, they are eating the fly!!!! Fat fish in the 12 pound range.  Not bad for early October.  Big spanish have been working the beaches feeding on an endless stream of glass minnows. The beaches are brown w/ bait.

Bending a few poles,
