Wet,Rainy,,,,,,,and cool conditions plus the perfect country setting, gave us several great days of fishing.

With overcast skies we worked shallow flats at drop off edges with crease flies, that brought us a number of large bluegill, yellow perch, and largemouth bass.

We switched over to light leaders and #5 slow sink lines using small woolie buggers and tubes , we scored repeatedly on bonus bluegill.

As dusk approached we waited for a small miller hatch coming off the water and switched back to floating lines and 7x tippets going for Bass, Bluegill.  One of the young children that was with us caught a large red-eared sunfish, and we are having it evaluated for the possibility of a State record in that category.

The second day was about as perfect as it can be for bigfish.  Heavy down pours all day kept the large bass in 1 foot and less of water.  I found them to be hugging the shoreline and shucking for crayfish that were active.

Using a "First Cast fly",,,,,John Brazelton @johnb1@inetw.net,,  rattle chamber crease fly,,,,my party scored on a number of large bass with the largest tipping the scales a slight over 4lbs. Not bad for a first timer.

We have had a few cancellations due to timing and ooopsssss I forgot to tell you I am on vacation so I do have a few weekend days open.  Check my site sign my guest-book and lets go fly fishing
