Archived Report 06/22/01
The dolphin are going crazy from the reef to 650 feet of water. Just find the birds and troll under them! The reef and wrecks are thick with mutton snapper in the 16 pound range with a few 21 pounders!!! Also fishing for the muttons the groupers are eating well too! Out back in the Gulf the permit bite is on! There are still a few cobia around and of course the goliath groupers!!!!
"The permit that I catch are not on the flats but we still catch them on fly! We catch them on the Gulf wrecks off Marathon and we use the merkin crab fly." Tight lines, |
