Saltwater Kayak Fishing School
  Ramp 34 Cape Hatteras National Seashore This is a ten hour on-the-water introduction to coastal kayak fishing.  You will learn the basics of:
  • Tides, currents, and basic coastal watercraft safety
  • How to rig a kayak for fishing coastal waters
  • When and where to look for fish in coastal waters
  • Tips and techniques for catching saltwater gamefish
  • How to find of the beaten path locations that are not accessible to many anglers

  Pamlico Sound Redfish The on-the-water saltwater kayak fishing school has sessions in and around Cape Hatteras National Seashore every Wednesday and Thursday (weather permitting) from June 5th thru August 29th, 2002.

The cost is $135.00 per student for each 10 hour session.  Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.  All participants must weigh a minimum of 90 pounds (safety gear restrictions) and should be reasonably physically fit.  Open water paddling in windy conditions may be required.
